Preventative Care and Management
As a recent graduate of the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy, Caralyn Anderson is a Registered Massage Therapist, with a wealth of knowledge in psychology, neuro science and statistics. She uses her ongoing development in psychology (currently enrolled at Laurier University) to enhance treatments though listening to the way your body talks, reading body language and in discussions with clients on what it is they are seeking in a treatment.
With a strong passion for hydrotherapies, taking advantage of both heat and cold, Caralyn offers the following services to enhance the body’s natural healing process:
*Hydrotherapies include ice massage, ice and stretch, heat packs, paraffin wax, hand and foot baths, and facial steams with or without essential oils.
Caralyn believes that the overall wellness of a person starts at the basics of taking care of one’s body, mind and spirit.
Initial appointments include a 30 minute assessment with intake interview and review of primary concern. This is followed by a 30-60 minute massage based on the appointment time booked.

Swedish Massage

Relaxation Massage to decrease general stress and build-up of tension in various areas of the body. This is the ‘feel good’ one!

Deep Tissue Massage which serves to dig to the root of postural and muscle imbalances, aches and pains, and work them out layer by layer.
Myofascial Release
Helps to increase blood flow to the connective tissues of the body resulting in increased mobility and flexibility and decrease scar tissue build up from injuries and surgeries.
Sports Massage
To decrease muscle tension, increase flexibility and limit potential for future injury.

Tapotement is a technique to help increase muscle activation, decrease general tension and stretches to maintain muscle mobility which is useful for pre-activity and post-activity at competitive events.

Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) to gently decrease sense of heaviness and swelling in limbs due to various conditions including lymphoma, vascular insufficiency, repetitive injuries and others.

Initial Assessment and Treatment
The Initial Assessment may take 20-30 minutes and consist of a full lifestyle, stress, and physical assessment that may be adding or causing your primary complaint.
Followed by a massage of 30 minutes or 60 minutes to complete the entire treatment

For Returning Clients
Follow Up Appointment
Follow up massages include a short check in with progress from the last treatment, time to get on and off the table, the massage treatment, and the potential for homecare (stretches, heat, , etc) at the end. The total appointment time is as scheduled.
